Four People Found Dead in Terrell on Christmas Eve

 

TERRELL, Texas — Police in this North Texas community responded to a welfare check on the 200 block of Rash Lane shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and discovered four people dead inside a residence, authorities said. Officers found all four individuals unresponsive and pronounced them deceased at the scene. Investigators said all three were found to have fatal gunshot wounds.

The fourth person was identified as 38‑year‑old Casey Dale Humphrey of Forney. Police determined he died of a self‑inflicted gunshot wound, and detectives believe he was responsible for fatally shooting the other three before taking his own life. Authorities have not publicly stated the relationship between Casey Humphrey and the other victims, and the motive for the killings remains under investigation.
