A 36-year-old woman was found dead inside a vehicle in Southeast Atlanta early Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026, according to police. 

Officers responded to a report of gunfire around 1:23 a.m. in the 2900 block of Springside Place near Browns Mill Road, where they discovered the woman in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle.

Incident Overview

According to Atlanta Police, officers arrived at the scene after receiving a “shots fired” call from the area. Upon arrival, authorities located a black Range Rover stopped in the middle of the street.

Inside the vehicle, officers found the woman unresponsive in the driver’s seat. Emergency responders assessed the situation and confirmed that she had died at the scene, officials said.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the woman, pending notification of next of kin.
