15-Year-Old Charged With Murder in Chicago Double Homicide
A 15-year-old has been charged with murder in connection with a Chicago double homicide that killed two victims in Auburn Gresham.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a Chicago shooting that left two teenagers dead and another person injured. The arrest marks the latest development in an investigation into the October 2025 attack in the city's Auburn Gresham neighborhood.

Juvenile Suspect Faces Multiple Charges

Chicago police announced that the 15-year-old suspect has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.

Because the suspect is a juvenile, authorities have not publicly released his identity. Police said he was taken into custody on June 22, 2026, and a juvenile petition was formally filed the following day.

Two Teenagers Killed in Apartment Building Shooting

The charges stem from a shooting that occurred on October 22, 2025, inside an apartment building in the 8100 block of South Marshfield Avenue.

Authorities said 16-year-old Devajae Christopher and 17-year-old Tamarion Hakeem West were both shot multiple times during the incident. Despite emergency response efforts, both teenagers died from their injuries.

Third Victim Survived

A 21-year-old man was also wounded during the shooting.

Police said the man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported for medical treatment. He survived the attack but sustained serious injuries.

Investigators have not publicly disclosed additional details regarding the circumstances that led to the shooting.

Third Arrest in the Case

The 15-year-old is the third person charged in connection with the case.

Earlier in 2026, authorities announced charges against 19-year-old Omarion Roberson and 32-year-old Jarvis Bell. Both adult defendants are facing first-degree murder and attempted murder charges related to the same incident.

Officials have not indicated whether additional arrests are expected.

Investigation Remains Ongoing

Detectives continue to review evidence and court proceedings remain active for all defendants charged in the case.

Authorities have not released further information regarding possible motives as prosecutors move forward with the criminal cases.
