| New Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer reveals Man-Spider mutation, Hulk clash, and new villains ahead of July 31 release. |
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have released the second trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving fans a new look at the upcoming film ahead of its global theatrical release on July 31, 2026. The movie is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and continues Peter Parker’s story following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Peter Parker Faces a Dangerous Transformation
The trailer highlights a major storyline involving Peter Parker undergoing an unstable biological change described as a “Man-Spider” mutation.
Footage shows Peter struggling with worsening control of his abilities, including malfunctioning mechanical web-shooters, aggressive behavior shifts, pitch-black eyes, and unpredictable organic webbing developing from his body.
Hulk Encounter Escalates the Conflict
A key moment in the trailer features Peter Parker seeking help from Dr. Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, in an attempt to find a possible genetic cure.
However, the situation escalates into a violent confrontation when a mind-controlled, feral version of the Hulk appears, leading to a large-scale battle on a high-rise structure.
Returning Characters and New Threats
The trailer confirms the return of Michael Mando as Mac Gargan, also known as Scorpion.
It also shows Peter encountering Frank Castle / The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal, who appears hostile toward Spider-Man during the events shown.
New character appearances include Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role, adding further mystery to the storyline.
Multiple Villains and Hidden Antagonist
Alongside Scorpion, the trailer teases additional street-level threats including Tarantula and Boomerang.
Despite the multiple villains shown, the narrative hints at a larger unseen mastermind orchestrating the chaos behind the scenes.
Film Release Date
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for theatrical release on July 31, 2026.
