The Last House (2026) – Movie Watch for free The Last House (formerly known under the working title 11817) is a 2026 survival psychological directed by Louis Leterrier. The story follows a family of four who suddenly find themselves trapped inside their own home with no explanation and no way out. Their modern comforts quickly fail, and as food, water, and basic resources run low, tensions rise within the household. As the situation worsens, the family is forced to confront internal conflict while also dealing with a mysterious external presence that appears to be controlling or monitoring their captivity. The psychological pressure of isolation begins to break down trust, forcing them into a desperate fight for survival. The film stars Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as the parents, alongside Riley Chung, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski, and Gabriel Barbosa. Rated PG-13, the production aimed for realism by working with survival expert Megan Hine to ensure believable depictions of resource management and long-term confinement conditions. Although the title may remind viewers of the classic horror name The Last House on the Left, this 2026 film is an entirely original story, blending psychological tension, survival drama, and subtle sci-fi elements rather than traditional slasher horror.
