Woman Fatally Shot by Ex-Boyfriend Inside Georgia Convenience Store
A 44-year-old woman was fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend inside a convenience store in Hall County, Georgia. The suspect remains at large.

A 44-year-old Georgia woman was fatally shot after her ex-boyfriend allegedly ambushed her at a convenience store in Hall County on Thursday night, July 16, 2026.

Woman Attacked Outside Store

According to the Hall County Sheriff's Office, 44-year-old Tia Vidon Keith stopped at the Subhanallah Food Mart on Mountain View Road in Gainesville at about 9:30 p.m.

When Keith returned to her vehicle after making a purchase, investigators said she found her former live-in boyfriend waiting inside the passenger seat.

Authorities allege the suspect shot Keith multiple times while she was inside the vehicle.

Victim Ran Inside for Help

Investigators said Keith managed to escape the vehicle and ran back inside the convenience store in an attempt to find safety.

Surveillance video reportedly shows the suspect chasing her into the store, where he cornered her near the restrooms and fired multiple more shots.

Keith died from her injuries inside the store. The store clerk called 911 and took cover during the shooting.

Suspect Remains at Large

Authorities said the suspect fled the scene in Keith's vehicle following the shooting.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office is leading an active manhunt. Investigators have not publicly identified the suspect as they continue their search.

Family members described Keith as a caring, humorous woman who owned and operated a local hair salon.
