Destiny Neal was last seen on June 19, 2026, at approximately 7 p.m. in the 1200 block of Abbott Drive in Elgin.
Family members and loved ones became concerned when she did not return home, and she was reported missing to the Elgin Police Department later that evening. Authorities began investigating her disappearance and seeking information about her whereabouts.
Body Located in Fox River
On the afternoon of June 21, Elgin detectives located a body in the Fox River north of the Kimball Street Bridge.
The discovery was made at approximately 3:50 p.m. as investigators continued efforts to locate the missing teenager. The body was recovered from the water and transported for examination.
