Three people were killed and two others were injured after a shooting near an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday. Police confirmed the suspected gunman is also dead.

Shooting Reported Near In-N-Out Burger

According to the Twin Falls Police Department, officers responded to reports of an active shooter at approximately 2:30 p.m. local time at the In-N-Out Burger on Blue Lakes Boulevard.

The restaurant is located in a busy commercial area on the city's north side.

Police Chief Matt Hicks said the suspected shooter is deceased and no longer poses a threat to the public.

Victims and Response

Three people died in the shooting, while two others were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities have not released the identities of the victims, pending notification of their families.

Witnesses reported seeing a suspect armed with an AR-style rifle exit the drive-thru area before an armed citizen reportedly returned fire. Officials have not yet released additional details about the exchange.

Investigation Continues

The FBI is assisting the Twin Falls Police Department and Idaho State Police with the investigation.

Authorities temporarily closed several nearby roads, including the Perrine Bridge, as officers secured the scene.

Officials have urged the public to avoid the area while investigators continue processing evidence.
